No Situation Is Impossible For God

I have often wondered what it would have been like living back in the days of Acts, when the disciples were so loyal to Jesus and the way He told them to live. This verse says every day they preached Jesus Christ. The wording here implies in every waking moment they were about the Lord's work spreading the Good News.

We can do this today and we will see people changed, healed from physical and spiritual ailments and impossible situations made right. Just on Wednesday I heard about a 60 year old hell's angel giving his life to Jesus. The glory of the Lord rested in the room and this man was changed in less then five minutes.

Nothing is impossible for our mighty God!

Actionless Faith Is Dead

I was reading ‘Understanding The Endtimes’ by RBC Ministries and I came across this:

“…some people who specialize in Bible prophecy show little real devotion to Christ and rarely try to lead anyone to the Lord Jesus. Their minds are full of information but their hearts are empty. They aren’t gaining anything of spiritual value from their searching of the Scriptures.” Pages 69-70

We should study Scripture not focusing on any one part but on the whole book knowing the reason for the Bible is to share God's plan for our salvation. Sadly, I know those who studied Scripture and dug in deep trying to understand it and in so doing have lost their faith and hence forth their salvation. They dug into studying but were not active in applying it to their lives and allowing the Holy Spirit to come alive in them. They focused on only one part of Scripture and didn't see the whole picture and didn't allow the Holy Spirit to conform them.

Satan knows Scripture very well, so well that he quoted it to Jesus and will use it to slip us up in our walk. The traps he lays for us are the ones that we cannot see like digging in trying to make human sense of the Bible and the prophecies that lie within only to walk away with more questions and confusion or with an empty, cold heart.

I am saddened to the point of tears and crying out to my Father in intercession for the lost and the hard hearts, for those I love deeply by a love that is fueled by the passion of Holy Spirit and a deep desire to see the sinner set free from the chains of slavery and the jaws of Satan.

James 2:14-26 NIV

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

James sums it up well in v 2  In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Standing in the gap and praying for those who have walked away and those who just don't believe.

Grace And Grace Alone

Does our salvation come through love?
This is something people just don't understand. It is through grace and grace alone that we find eternal life.
Ephesians 2:8 ESV
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,"
God saves by grace and He demonstrated His love for us by giving His Son, Jesus, to die for us. God will save us BUT only if we come to Him by belief in Jesus Christ.

It is a leap of faith and only when this leap is taken will the understanding come in.

Praise GOD!

Journey in Obedience

1 John 2:15 ESV
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

I am noticing that the more I obey Father the more separated from the world I become. In all honesty it is a little bitter sweet because some of those whom I love and care for are not on the same journey and I find that I cannot relate to them in the same way as before. My cares are for my Father and His Word and to spread His Gospel. He is breaking my heart for His mission and I hunger to please Him.

I knew about standing alone for Jesus but the reality of that meaning is honing in to also include standing alone for Jesus amongst my brothers and sisters. That was something I wasn’t really prepared for. I guess deep inside I was hoping they would get on board and journey closer into Father’s heart with me. This stripping away of self is so painful and the reality of what is inside of me is so shameful in the light of Father. This wanting to be loved and included in with others; accepted by my friends, verses my hunger and thirst for Jesus and my desire to worship and please Him is tearing me inside. Yet I continue to walk on in obedience to Father because my heart aches to be in His presence and please Him more than I desire the acceptance of my friends.

With a lot of prayer cover and encouragement from family I was able to pray in front of the congregation for one of our Sunday services. Up until the moment I was so nervous, but as soon as I took that first step towards the front of the church I was carried by Father! It was wonderful!!! The nerves left, I was able to pray without chocking, stuttering or sweating! He calmed me and I felt His approval. When I was done and I left then the shakes came in and my tummy made flips but it didn’t last long and a peace overcame me and I knew I pleased my Dad. Thank you for your prayers, I felt them and they carried me.

This journey is hard. I am seeing a lot of ugly things in me rising to the surface; things I didn’t even realize existed in me. I am a loner and never have really cared what others thought of me until just now I see that yes I do care and it hurts in a deep way. But I also see that Father is doing a deep work in me, purging me of the filth of this human nature called self. With the purging I am seeing Him with a clearer vision and understanding the pain and suffering Jesus went through in a deeper way than I did before. I can relate better to this Man of Sorrow that He was known as. He is molding me and changing me and I don’t ever want Him to stop, because what I am seeing rise out of me I like because it is reflecting Him more.

Isaiah 53:10 ESV
Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

Worthy is Jesus to be honoured and glorified and praised!!
