Update on Phoebe

Phoebe is doing okay. She had ups and downs todays, but the good thing is that we found out why her tummy hurts so much. She has something called C-Diff, an hospital infection in her bowels that causes horrible cramping and diarrhea. It is easily taken care of with antibiotics, but gives us an explanation for her fever and discomfort in many regards. She has slept quite a bit, but we also see moments of lucidity. Breathing in each moment..

Thank you for your prayers, please keep them coming. Thanks!!

Psalm 31:24 NIV
Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

More Prayers For Phoebe

Phoebe has made a turn for the worse...her fever is up to 104!! Amey says this is because of the tumor and her brain cannot regulate her body temperature.

Here is the latest news from Facebook...

Had to stop twice on the way to Dallas to sleep, we're spent. She is sleeping well and we've gotten on top of the pain with meds which is good. She is on oxygen since she is having a difficult time keeping her o2 sats up. Sodium is decent and electrolytes look good. Tomorrow or Weds. radiation to the spinal tumor to reduce the pain if she's up to it. She is groggy from the meds, but still manages to show everyone her polished fingernails. Never seen my husband shed so many tears. And yet there's peace in the midst...

Phoebe's strong character is showing through in her love and zeal for life. What a dear child she is!

Thank you for praying for Phoebe.

Isaiah 58:8 NIV
Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.

Please, please pray...

This just came in from Amey, Phoebe's mom...

It is with great sadness that I post tonight. Phoebe’s cancer has come back. She has a new tumor growing in her brain at the original tumor site, and a new tumor growth on her spine. Because the
tumor site in her brain is in such a sensitive/integral area, it would not be ethical to radiate. She has already had the most intense chemotherapy protocol available; more chemo will not knock out these new tumors. We can expect to have 2-8 more weeks with our precious girl, unless we witness a miracle. We are clinging to the hem of His garment…Thank you all for praying for our family. We love you.

This little girl has really touched my heart and I am sure she has touched the hearts of all the intercessors who have been praying for her.

I know that Father can heal her. Please join your heart with mine and all the others who are seeking a miracle of healing here on earth for Phoebe.

Isaiah 53:5 NIV
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Psalm 41:1-3 NIV
Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble. The Lord protects and preserves them—they are counted among the blessed in the land—he does not give them over to the desire of their foes. The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness.

Phoebe's Cancer Story

I haven't heard the results of the last prayer alert for Phoebe, but Amey put up this video on youtube of Phoebe's journey.

Please take a few minutes to watch and just pray for this sweet, dear child and praise God for all He has done for her. Pray this cancer is gone forever and she will overcome the obstacles that are before her.

Thanks!!!

Psalm 139:14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Hope

Where is our hope? Our hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Without Jesus we have nothing, nothing at all.
No future, no peace, no forgiveness, no chance for eternal life with God.
Put your hope in the only one who can fill that empty place inside.

Jesus, You reign!!

For those of you who are praying for Phoebe, there hasn't been a lot of news. The last I heard was she was in the hospital and they assumed her headaches were caused by an infection of some sort. I will let you know the latest when I find out how she is doing. Thanks for praying!!

Blessings,

It Has Been Awhile

I sure have been busy!! I didn't mean to neglect this blog for so long but one day of farm work led to another and the next thing I know it is July 8th!! The garden is in and growing, minus a few tomatoes and cucumbers from the frost that snuck in. The first hay crop is in the hay shed and the irrigation is going full force on the hay field. We have planted trees, mowed the massive lawn many times, weeded the garden, fixed fences and tractors and now, it seems, there is a bit of breathing room.

Even though I have been quiet on posting, the Lord has kept me busy praying and praying for those whom He led me to on Facebook. If you have an account and would love to join me in praying for those Father leads my way, send me a friend request on Facebook and I would be glad to friend you there. My link in on the right hand side bar.

There hasn't been a lot of prayer requests for those who I follow on this blog until today. Phoebe is having headaches and for a person suffering from brain tumors that is always a red flag. Here is what came in over Phoebe's page, An Atypical Miracle, today...

Asking for prayers for Phoebe; she is having headaches that won't abate with Tylenol and that makes me nervous of course. Her labs checked out fine this morning, and I was really hoping that the pain would be easily pinpointed with an electrolyte issue. Unfortunately the headaches are unexplained. Her oncologist said no need to worry yet since there are a great many things that cause headaches, but that doesn't offer much solace to a brain tumor parent. Next MRI is due August 5th, but will be moved up if we don't see improvement.

Please keep Phoebe in your prayers, thanks!!

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
